Canning is always fun! Understating what goes into our foods is so important, and learning how to create your own jams, salsas, pickles is life changing. We tend to always lean more towards convenience over quality, and over time we’ve forgotten basic living skills that many of our parents and grandparents learned in order to survive. The importance to us is to show what food was like before frozen meals and drive thru so we don’t loose the practice of home meals. If anyone wants to learn more about canning, please reach out!

My goal starting this fall is to bring people together and get everyone to learn about food and its importance in this world. It’s been within me to start a cookbook club to not only have people try new foods but also show the importance of how food is part of our culture and like many generations before us have been doing and sit all together at a table and become a family.

The idea of the book club would be to meet once a month, and every person would bring a recipe from the book we chose that month. We will explore new cultures, learn new techniques and most importantly EAT AMAZING FOOD. 🌯🍱🥘🍲
