Oishii Restaurants is deeply grateful for our amazing team and the steadfast support from our clients, who are truly the foundation of our achievements. Oishii Dallas at SMU Blvd will be closed Tuesday & Wednesday, August 15th – 16th. Resuming regular hours, opening for lunch Thursday. August 17th at 11 AM. While we won’t be able to serve you at this location during that time, we invite you to visit our other locations, Oishii Dallas Oishii Plano or our sister restaurant, LaVui Vietnamese Restaurant (which also features several sushi favorites from Oishii).

When sushi is presented on a pedestal like this, it reaches a whole new level of significance. Behold the Himalayan Salt Rock, a podium reserved only for the ultimate victor: the best Futo Maki roll ever created by Chef (or at least we think so!). 🥇 The Himalayan Roll features a delightful combination of yellowtail, shrimp, tuna, and salmon, wrapped in cucumber. By serving this on the chilled salt rock, it naturally enhances the flavor profile within every component of the roll. We dare you to try it, in its purest form, by refraining from dipping it into soy sauce. Instead, using your chopsticks, 🥢gently swirl a piece on the salt rock and then eat it. We assure you; you won’t regret it!
FBNFP (Funny But Necessary Fine Print): Indeed this is on the menu! This is one of Chef’s original specialty rolls. The origins of this masterpiece began when Chef was gifted 🎁 a beautiful Himalayan Salt Rock by a very special and long-time guest of Oishii. Chef was challenged to create something delicious with it (very Iron Chef like, we must say!). After giving it some thought, Chef whipped up what is now known as the Himalayan Roll. We thank that very special guest – you know who you are! 😉 - that gifted Chef this great culinary ingredient and put him up to this challenge!

If you're coming from downtown Dallas, take the DART light rail Green Line to Mockingbird Station. From there, transfer to the 768 bus and ride it until it stops at SMU Boulevard near Central Expressway. If you prefer driving, take Central Expressway and exit at SMU Blvd (Exit 2). Turn east onto SMU Blvd and look for a parking spot along the street or park in the lot across from the restaurant.
