After a weekend filled with dessert orders, little recipe testing, getting centerpieces & florals ready for upcoming events,updating my website, a self care day was much needed. I went in to .skinslayer for one of my favorite treatment, a 🔥🧊 facial! I’ve been seeing Rosa for about 4yes now and my skin has never looked better 👌🏽

When Bhumi sent me a picture of her lengha (Indian outfit), I immediately thought of decorating her cookies in a similar style. Chai shortbreads with royal icing and sugar pearls to match the beautiful embroidery on her lengha!

For the past year and a half, I have been relearning all about yeasted doughs. After a few learning experiences and weeks of recipe testing, I think I found the perfect milk bread recipe. Using my base recipe, i made garlic & herb buns and everyone at work really enjoyed them! Thank you to the pastry Gods and Goddesses for blessing these hands ☺️

When Aliya from sent me her lavander chai tester, I knew I had to pair it with some of my award winning shortbread 😉 I couldn’t decide between two, so I went with both- lady grey shortbread & a lemon lavender shortbread. Y’all go check her out at this weekend for all your chai needs!
