I woke up today hoping yesterday had only been a terrible nightmare, but instead I realized it is now my reality.
Yesterday, the most amazing, strongest, and most loving man I have ever known took his last breath, and I feel like I can barely breathe. I truly thought I had prepared myself. I knew he was 96-plus years blessed, and I kept telling myself it would be okayโbut my heart knows I was fooling myself.
Yall know I normally travel Jan but God said not this year. Thank God I listened.
My daddy was, without question, my favorite person on this side of heaven. I am not okay. Saying his name in the past tense makes my chest tighten. Lord God, help me.
I shared my daddy with yโall, and I thank you for loving him the way you did. This man was every bit of amazing.
I will miss him dearly, but he will live forever in my heart.
I'm so blessed that my daddy had the opportunity to watch me compete on . The Next Level Baker finally was 12/18 and my daddy's finally was 1/18.
Please keep me in your happy thoughts and prayers. I am broken and lost. I know I will be okayโฆ just not today.
