I do not have a homeroom so I’d use part of it to buy every day supplies for my students to use. I’d put the rest towards STEM related stations for hands on group work for them to explore and enjoy."

"My name is Jessica, and I am a kindergarten teacher at Indian Creek Elementary in Lewisville ISD. As I enter my 17th year in education, I continue to focus on helping young learners discover that mistakes are not something to fear but are opportunities to grow. Every day, my students finish the phrase, “Mistakes help…” with an enthusiastic “us learn!” because creating confident, resilient learners is at the heart of my teaching. A $250 gift card would allow me to purchase hands-on literacy and STEM materials that help my students explore, create, problem-solve, and learn through meaningful experiences.
