I’ve been watching fellow bakers have incredible success creating products that boldly express their personal beliefs and values, and I respect anyone who has the courage to stand behind what they believe.
But I’ve also been thinking about what I want Irene’s Bakery to represent.
I’m an immigrant. I have strong feelings about certain issues, and there are things on BOTH sides of politics that I agree with and things I absolutely do not. But I’ve never wanted politics to be what brings people through our doors.
I want it to be the CAKE. 💜🎂
I want a line out the door because you heard our cake balls are AMAZING. Because you’re craving one of our Dot Cakes. Because you need cupcakes for the office and someone told you, “You HAVE to try Irene’s.” Or because you’re celebrating one of the biggest moments of your life and you trust us to make your cake beautiful AND delicious.
We make our cakes and frostings from scratch. We use real butter and fresh ingredients. We put countless hours into this little bakery, and behind every cake, cupcake and cake ball are real people working incredibly hard to keep a small business alive.
So this isn’t a political post.
It’s a support small businesses post. ❤️
Support the bakery because the cake is delicious.
Support the restaurant because the food is incredible.
Support the shop because you love what they make.
Support the family behind the counter working long days to keep their dream going.

A cake I waited 30 years to make. 💗🎂
I’m finally sharing a little more from my beautiful Jessy’s 30th birthday — and of course, her cake. 🥹
For me, this wasn’t just another cake from Irene’s Bakery. This was my daughter’s cake. My princess. My miracle.
When Jessy was born, we were told not to expect her to live to see her first birthday. And yet, by the grace of God, here she is — THIRTY years later, surrounded by family, love, laughter and so many people whose lives she has touched. 🙏🏻✨
I’ve made thousands of cakes over the years, but I don’t think I will ever make one that means more to me than this one. Every detail was inspired by Jessy — joyful, colorful, feminine, beautiful and impossible to ignore. 💕🌸
Thirty years with our miracle. Thirty years of answered prayers. Thirty years of being blessed with Jessy.

We recently came across these beautiful photos that our bride shared with her amazing WeddingWire review from last year, and we just had to give them their moment. ✨
A timeless black & white wedding cake paired with a custom New Orleans Saints groom’s cake ⚜️ — two completely different styles for one very special celebration.
And the words she shared mean even more to us: “The entire process was great… everyone talked about how amazing they tasted.” 🥹
There’s nothing better than seeing our cakes through our couples’ eyes and hearing that they were just as delicious as they were beautiful.
