Their culinary journey started four years ago in their modest Plano location, where they sought to cook the best Cuban food in Texas by staying true to their roots and family recipes. The menu at The Latin Pig offered fresh, hearty and flavorful cuisine inspired by the one-of-a-kind island cuisine called Cuban Criollo that is a result of Spanish, African and South American influences. The restaurant's name is derived from 'lechon,' meaning "The Pig," which is widely used in traditional Cuban dishes like Masita frita or Lechon asado among others. Cascades Court was the street location of this establishment that aimed to provide customers with a memorable dining experience with friends and family in a homely atmosphere.

It is with great sorrow that I must announce the closure of The Latin Pig at The Colony. As much as we wish it were not so, the effects of the ongoing global pandemic have made remaining open at this location an impossibility. Despite our best efforts to adapt to changing circumstances, unfavorable conditions have taken their toll upon our business and myself as a business owner in equal measure. I would like to thank all of our customers and employees for their support during these unprecedented times; it was an extraordinary privilege to be able to include you all as part of our Latin Pig family, and share Cuban cuisine with The Colony. Fortunately, The Latin Pig at Plano on Custer and Parker will remain open for business. It is my sincere pleasure to invite both new and returning customers to enjoy our exceptional Cuban cuisine. Thank you again for your continued support. It is by the warmth of this great community that I can tell better times are just around the corner, and with God's help, I believe that we will be able to persevere and see them together.
