PRESIDENT'S CORNER:
Frohes Neues Jahr Fellow Stein Club Members,

I trust that everyone is ready for the cooler weather that hopefully will be short and uneventful for us Texans in 2025.

Remember that it is a great time of year to swing by the Bavarian Grill and sample the darker lagers, Weizenbocks and Doppelbocks. Oh, the joys of winter. The other joy that January brings is our annual Grünkohl und Pinkel Dinner Event. I highly recommend you put it on your New Year’s Resolution List to attend this year, January 8th, 2025 at 6:30 pm, in the Bier Garten.

Let me thank you all for your support again this year at the Annual Christmas Party. We raised about $2,845 for charity this year. Great Job all.

I’m excited to be starting the new year off as your new Stein Club president! Our newly elected officers and I have some ideas that we think you’ll like for this year’s Stein Club meetings.

As always, thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all on January 8th!

Auf Wiedersehen,
Marty

featuring three breaded Schnitzels with 2 Bavarian Bier and Dessert for $ 35 pp

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR STEIN CLUB PRESIDENT

Ein, zwei, O'zapft Is! That's right. Success this year getting the Ceremonial Oktoberfest keg tapped in the requisite number of strikes. I was so happy that I posted the video of this year's festivities to my Facebook account to share with all my family and friends. I understand a highlight appears along with a nice review of the restaurant on TIkTok by Amanda J at Cowgirlseat. Truly a major improvement. Enough about me. Let's talk about Oktoberfest 2024 at the BG.

The annual Oktoberfest Bier card is back for a complimentary Oktoberfest Schnitzel. And speaking of Schnitzel, Schnitzelfest 2024 is also upon us. Twenty different takes on the classic schnitzel. I encourage you to visit early and often as there is plenty of pork and bier to sample. Did I mention this is my second favorite time of year for the German calendar? I hope you can see why.

In the spirit of Schnitzelfest, the next several Wednesday night dinners will feature Schnitzel and various takes both in and off menu. Certainly, something not to be missed.

In addition to the successful keg tapping, Fred and Marty did a fantastic job on the fundraising side of the Oktoberfest celebration. The club raised $1,220 which we will use as we roll into November along with money from the upcoming Hirch's Meats Cooler raffle to start the early giving need around the holiday season to help those in need. This is really great news so thank you all club and restaurant patrons. Thank you!

October's Meeting on the 9th at 6:30 pm for members will feature Festbiers as we will be in the trailing days of Octoberfest, and we have holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's quickly approaching. Come out and learn some things that you were probably not aware of and maybe a reminder of some things you were but had forgotten. Can't wait to see you all again. Happy Oktoberfest!

O'zapft Is! und Prosit!

Steve

PS I have to get back to celebrating the victory!
