Dear friends,
Thank you for a lovely evening and a beautiful send-off yesterday. It was so perfect to see all the faces, share the laughs (and a few tears) as we spent our last day in the Oldfield building. The evening was more than we had imagined and hearing your stories of how our little Cafe played a role in your lives, and in the life of Historic Downtown Carrollton, was like the bow on an incredible gift.
As we share this post, every item inside the Cafe is being deconstructed and hauled away where a new family is making plans to open a Cafe in Marietta, OK. In a way, it feels like a heart transplant... The heart of the Cafe will live on in a new place, and we couldn't be more pleased! We are told the new Cafe will open in April. We plan to visit and look forward to being on the receiving side of the counter.

Dear friends,
As we are counting down the days to retirement, we have thoroughly enjoyed your visits, smiling faces and well-wishes. Your kind words and thoughtful coffee chats have been so warm and encouraging.
As noted previously, we will be hosting a party at C2 to say farewell on Tuesday, Dec 30 from 3-7pm. The intent is for people to wander in, take pics, grab a bite to eat and join us as we celebrate hanging the apron up for the last time. We look forward to seeing you there.
Please note: All food and beverage purchases will be cash-only as our treasured credit card processing company got a little ahead of themselves and discontinued our account ahead of the agreed-upon date... just one more fun experience to add to 12 years of funny moments.
We will be serving food, drinks and good cheer until we are sold out!

An encore?!?
As a brief but meaningful encore, we wanted to let our patrons, friends and neighbors know that we will be hosting a bit of a gathering at C2 Cafe on Tuesday, Dec 30 from 3pm-7pm to honor Stan and Cheri for the years of serving the neighborhood and to see them off! If we are lucky, Stan will say a few words.
On Tuesday, Dec 30, we will serve all of your favorites foods and beverages until they are ALL GONE!
We will have a ceremonial "apron hanging" where Stan will take off the famous black apron to hang it up one last time before turning out the lights.
If you are able to stop in, we would love to see your smiling faces and it would be our pleasure to see you take photos on those beautiful stairs to commemorate the evening.

C2 Cafe will close Dec 31, 2025
It is our privilege to announce that effective Dec 31, 2025, C2 Cafe will close. The proprietors of C2 Cafe, Stan and Cheri Newman, will be retiring.
C2 opened roughly 12 years ago. In 12 years, the Cafe has become an anchor of the downtown Carrollton square. It has been Stan and Cheri's pleasure to serve the community and to share the best of themselves. Over the years, they have hosted the most prominent members of Carrollton as well as the least.
Effective today, until the very last day in December, C2 Cafe will be feeding and hosting the community. If you get a moment to stop in, please tell Stan and Cheri how much you love them and appreciate their presence in the downtown square... and order your favorite soup, sandwich, coffee, latte or tea because NOTHING puts a smile on Stan and Cheri's face like putting a smile on YOURS!

To get to S Broadway Street in Carrollton, you can take the DART Green Line and get off at the Downtown Carrollton Station. From there, walk south on N Broadway Street until you reach your destination.
If you prefer to drive, take I-35E and exit at Belt Line Road. Head west on Belt Line Road until you reach N Broadway Street. Turn left onto N Broadway Street and continue south until you reach your destination.
