Cedar Springs isn't just where we do business, it's part of who we are.
The Oak Lawn/Cedar Springs neighborhood has been a gathering place for Dallas' LGBTQ+ community for generations. The Crossroads became the heart of q***r Dallas in the 1970s, and through decades of celebration, activism, loss and progress, this neighborhood has remained a place where people could find community and be themselves.
In 1984, brothers Rick and David Barton opened the very first Hunky's right here on Cedar Springs. At a time when the neighborhood was still growing into what we know today, Hunky's became something more than a burger joint, it became a welcoming place to gather, eat and feel at home.
42 years later, we're still proud to call Cedar Springs home.
Thank you to the neighbors, businesses, organizations and generations of customers who built this community and continue to make it unlike anywhere else in Dallas. ❤️
