VAL’S RETAIL EQUATION:

Supporting a small business doesn’t take as much as you might think.

Here’s my equation:

If you have fewer than 10,000 followers, aim to support a small business with at least 10 customers a day.

If you have more than 10,000 followers, just 0.1% of your following becoming customers can make a difference.

Many good local brands are struggling to get these minimum numbers.

Support doesn’t always require spending money. Posting, sharing, recommending, or simply talking about a small business helps.

Now, this equation does NOT let business owners off the hook!

We are still responsible for consistency, sanitation, meaningful connections, strong branding, excellent customer service, and, above all, a quality product or service.

But here’s my point:

It really doesn’t take much to support the small businesses that help form the backbone of our economy.

Wall Street is valid. It represents millions of jobs, investments, and livelihoods.

But so do our local streets.
..And those streets deserve our consistent attention, investment, and support, too.

To reach the bakery and caterer and dessert restaurant on Greenville Avenue in Dallas via public transport, take the bus or train to Mockingbird Station and transfer to Bus Route 1. Get off at Greenville Avenue and walk towards the north. The place is located on the right side of the street.

If you prefer driving, take I-75 North, exit at N Central Expy and turn right onto E Mockingbird Ln. Continue straight on E Mockingbird Ln. Turn right onto Greenville Ave heading North. You will see the place located on your right-hand side.

There are limited street parking options available, so it's best to park in one of the nearby paid parking lots or garages.
