HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It's been a challenging 18 months for everyone to say the least.

From a global pandemic, to massive supply chain disruptions, to an unprecedented labor shortage, I never imagined that our challenges would have continued to escalate.

Through all these challenges, my entire staff has continued to persevere.

While many of these challenges are universal to all industries, the restaurant industry has been "hit" especially hard.

This industry I love has legitimately earned a reputation for long hours, stress laden shifts, holiday work and low pay with no benefits to name a few.

While I can not change an entire industry, I can make changes for our own and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

1. The decision to close (or close early) is never easy. We value your business so much we never want to disappoint. However, going forward, we will take the opportunity to close (or close early) when our staff has an opportunity to make lasting memories with their loved ones.

2. For the first time in our history, we have created a retirement plan for all employees with an employer matching contribution.

3. We now regularly host staff appreciation events to express our gratitude.

4. We have significantly raised wages for many of our tenured staff members.

5. Arguably, the most difficult is a change to the culture of our industry. Long work weeks with long hours can lead to stressful shifts and a toxic work environment, especially when you sprinkle in a few unruly patrons to the recipe.

I have made culture our #1 priority. Beto's will continue to scout, hire, and retain the happiest smiling faces to create a fun, safe, and happy utopia.:)

We'll be closing at 5pm today to create memories.

Our casual, full service, family restaurant seeks a friendly, upbeat Host/Hostess to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate loves making small talk with guests. He or she should be willing to fill in as needed for busboys and servers to keep up with busy shifts. Some back-of-house assistance might be needed, such as inspecting/cleaning restrooms. If you love the restaurant business and genuinely enjoy people, we need to hear from you.
