Guess Who's Coming to Dinner Caterers was owned and operated by Phillip Luna, who brought 39 years of experience in the food industry. A Texas native, his culinary career began in San Antonio in 1982, where he mastered an array of Mexican and Southwestern cuisines. He further honed his skills in New York City before graduating with honors from the Culinary Institute of America in 1987. Notably, he received the Diploma of Honor at the 118th Salon of Culinary Art during the International Hotel & Restaurant Show in New York City in 1986.
After completing his education, Phillip took a position at the esteemed Stein Ericson Lodge, a four-star resort located in Park City, Utah, where he expanded his knowledge of California and Western cuisines. In 1988, he relocated to Washington, D.C., serving as the executive off-site chef for Occasions Caterers. In this role, he planned and managed events for over 3,000 guests regularly, ranging from fund-raisers at the Smithsonian to private parties for Washington’s social elite and political figures.
With a strong commitment to catering excellence and an understanding of diverse tastes and budgets, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner Caterers positioned itself as one of the elite catering companies within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
