It is with great sadness I announce that we have closed and will not be able to open back up. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to tell everyone, but every time I sat down to say goodbye, it was just too hard.
To our neighbors, from all the gyros ordered, the get well soon card passed around for my dad, the many things borrowed, the hugs and encouragement, to the late night brain storming sessions, you know who you are. Thank you always for the support.
To my family and friends(many I would have never met, if not through the restaurant), thank you always for holding our hand and pulling us up when we needed it. You all already know the words from my heart.
To our staff, old and new. Thank you for the hard work. It didn’t always go right, but we always got through it. We learned from you as much as we hope you learned from us. To see the growth and inspiration you brought was the hope of the restaurant.
To our customers. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. From the moment this restaurant opened, it was never about how much we would make. It was how much we could give. It was about family. We are grateful you let us into yours. We have loved meeting and getting to know every one of y’all. You let us into your lives, shared your joyful moments with us and your hard days as well. You grieved with us when we lost my mom Maryann and you celebrated our achievements with us. You have supported us in every way possible.
We always strived to do the best we could for you, even if we didn’t always get it right. On those days, regardless if you forgave us and came back or you told what was wrong and didn’t, we always listened. We took those lessons to heart and I will have that going forward for the rest of my life. When you called to tell us how much you enjoyed everything or sent us messages on online, it meant the world to us. There really aren’t enough words to express how much we love and thank you.
To my mom and dad, the heart and soul of Greek Cafe. The magic that filled the air inside. This was ya’lls dream. And y’all didn’t stop till you made it happen. No matter what, you just kept going forward. I am forever thankful that you brought something into my life that helped mold me into who I am. I am so sorry I couldn’t keep it going.
We put everything we had into our restaurant and we hope you felt it. We love this little restaurant with all our heart and we love you. It was an honor to be part of the community.
On behalf of myself, my father, and my mother, we thank you for 13 1/2 extraordinary years.
