El Fenix Mexican Restaurant, located on W Northwest Highway, is a classic Mexican restaurant that has been around since 1918. Its founder, Mike Martinez, was a Mexican immigrant and is credited for originating Tex-Mex Cuisine. El Fenix has been named an "All American Icon" by Nation's Restaurant News and continues to be a must-visit dining destination in North Texas. After being acquired by Local Favorite Restaurants™ in 2008, the restaurant refurbished its interiors and revamped its menu while still maintaining its authentic elements.

To reach the Mexican restaurant located at W Northwest Highway in Dallas, one can take the DART rail and get off at the Bachman Station. From there, exit towards the east side of Bachman Lake and walk straight ahead until reaching the restaurant.
Alternatively, if driving, take North Central Expressway heading north, then take exit 439C for Northwest Highway/Loop 12. Merge onto Northwest Highway and continue driving until reaching the restaurant. Parking is available on-site.
