"My name is Shar. I am a Special Education teacher for grades 3–5 at Kent Elementary. I work with students who receive individualized support to help them grow academically, behaviorally, and socially in a structured and supportive environment. "Teaching is more than a career to me, it’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children every single day. My name is Laura and I am a 3rd Grade teacher at Parkway Elementary in LISD. I have been teaching for 20 years in Title 1 schools. As a 3rd grade teacher, I strive to create a classroom where students feel safe, encouraged, challenged, and loved. $250 isn’t just cash, it’s stickers, smiles, motivation, celebrations, and memories waiting to happen! This opportunity would provide my 3rd Grade classroom access to a “Treasure Box” extraordinaire and unlimited enthusiasm! I would create a positive and encouraging classroom environment by purchasing items for a classroom treasure box and small holiday gifts for my 3rd grade students.
