Today has been a trying day needless to say!!!! So...I'm filming an interview with a magazine/ broadcast company who was doing a feature on Kendall Karsen's. While doing this, a lady and husband walks in a makes an order.

The lately specifically states..."We are dining in, however we want everything in take-out containers."

So when the order comes out in the "take-out" containers as she requested....she states " I don't want my food in this!" I said "Well ma'am you specifically asked for your food to be packaged as such." She immediately stated "Well I don't want it in these containers!" I then replied "Well ma'am these are standard take-out containers and bowls." She follows up with I don't want it in those containers. So trying to please a patron I ask "Well ma'am would you like for us to make you a new order and hard plate it?" She replies "Yes!" We process the order over....mind you that is about $50 worth of food that we now have to trash because it left the kitchen (mind you they were both eating the food when we removed it to be discarded). So, we now serve the newly plated dinner to them. She then starts to yell out racial slurs to the server and has now become even more belligerent and saying I don't want to be served by any other person than that of a certain race.

So, you guys who have visited the restaurant knows my son is one of the most respectable young men you could ever come across! She begins to yell "You dumb M***F****" to him! Yup.....the Morehouse Graduate, the "yes sir" and "no ma'am" using young man that I have raised!

So at this point, I asked my team to politely refund the order and asked both individuals to leave the establishment. At this point, about $100 worth of food discarded. However that was ok, because my Patrons are worth everything to me and I would never let them, my staff or my son ever be subjected to such disrespect. The guy was following her lead at first and chiming in...but later backed off as now the embarrassing attention had now engulfed him as well.

She storms out of the restaurant still cursing, making a scene and just being disrespectful! Would you have done this at some of the larger establishments???? I think not!! The husband stays behind....and ended up saying "She was wrong and should not have acted the way she did... you guys did everything you should have to appease her although she was in the wrong." I then shook his hand as I could see the regret in his face of what had just transpired.

Tonight I full heartedly pray for that lady and asked GOD to please resolve whatever it is that has bestowed the hatred and disrespect upon her.

I also would like to apologize to our Patrons who had to endure this display of disrespectfulness.
