On Monday, October 18, 2021, the doors of Nawlins Seafood Sports Bar were locked and closed illegally by Amli Management based on what we believe to be racially motivated intentions. Their default letter stated that we violated our rental agreement in conjunction with our rent and our hours of operation. There are other food tenants who are serving food and alcohol that are allowed to stay open until 2:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays. And they are still operating as of now. We feel like this is unfair, because Amli is trying to hold Nawlins to a 12 am shut down on Friday’s and Saturday’s. We feel like this is unfair even more because Nawlins is black owned, and the other tenants are not. Since the opening of Nawlins, there has not been any incidents or violation related to breaking any city ordinances. Amli has caused Nawlins to lose thousands of dollars in revenue, inventory and operations expenses. We are having our attorney’s deal with this matter and will keep you informed on this matter as it unfolds.
