Oak Cliff is home to many eloteros. Many “corn men” serve the same dish: corn in a cup with mayonnaise, butter and cheese. Of course, you can add hot sauce if needed. However, “El Mero Mero Elotero” has aspired to be more than just an average elotero.

This group of men has been having breakfast with us at 6:30am every Monday morning for 9 years. This morning was definitely special and full of gratitude.

Cuando yo y mi querida esposa, María, empezamos este restaurante, nuestra meta y visión era proveer buen servicio y deliciosa comida. Espero que lo hicimos sentir como en casa y feliz con su comida.
Esto es el cerrar de este capítulo en este edifico, pero no el final de El Taxqueño Taqueria.
Espero tenerles mejor noticias en el cercano futuro, pero por lo mientras, estaré disfrutando tiempo con mis nietos y familia.

We regret to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, we will permanently close our doors on Friday, October 18, 2024.
We appreciate the support of our customers, friends, and family over the last 9 years and cherish the friendships formed. We will continue to take orders until our last day or until inventory runs out. At this time, there are no plans to open another location.
