It’s the spookiest Friday of the year, October 30 the Friday before Halloween… but some things just ain’t frightenin’ at all. Fridays are made for live music and we got McKinney’s best dang country band comin’ to play for us this evening! Bedlam Station takes our stage tonight at 8:00 and you don’t wanna miss it… 🤠
It’s a cloudy start to the day and there are some light showers headed our way. Looks like we’ll get a bit wet around lunchtime but that rain ain’t gonna last all day, nope! Might even see some peeks of sun before the day is through and we’ll be high and dry tonight! Scattered showers for Halloween Saturday but Sunday looks mighty fine indeed.
Gonna be a howlin’ good time on this here night friends! Classic rock and 90’s country hit that spot just right! Add some boozy ice cream and a cocktail or two and I’m sure a few groovy costumes and we got the fixins’ for a big fat fun Friday for sure! Grab your date and don’t be late, we’ll leave the lights on till 11:00 for ya… 🎃

Had to give this one another shot, man that looks good! A boozy banana split featuring our tequila infused “Strawberry Dreams Forever” and our crème de banana infused “Done Gone Bananas” covered with gobs of strawberry topping, bourbon vanilla whipped cream and a cherry! If the strawberry/banana combo is something you like, this is one you gotta try!
The week’s moving right along, here it is Thursday, or as we like to say, Friday Eve… 😉 A mix of clouds and sun today with a high of 81, cooling off to 65 overnight. Some rain down to our south creeping slowly north so keep the no-rain vibes flowin’ for the weekend. We got Bedlam Station live on Friday night and Halloween all day Saturday!
With a little luck we’ll be alright and our big fat fun weekend won’t be rained out. Still, it might be a good idea to start the festivities just a wee bit early and a Friday Eve is the right time to do it! Actually, any excuse to commence festivities will do… 😆 It ain’t gonna be rainin’ today so get out there and have a great day… 😁

Kocktails and Karaoke has a Halloween twist this evening, tonight it’s “Kostume Karaoke” from 7:00 till closing time at 10:00! Join the Krew and sing some too but come as your favorite Kostumed Karacter! There’s only one perfect song to kick off this kind of festivity, hit it Bobby “Boris” Pickett… https://youtu.be/u8uvLHnrqdU?si=Bzjj9h2PLt88MNFb 🎃
Got us a fine day to be doin’ that Monster Mash too, yes we do, though it is a bit cloudy out. High temps in the lower 80’s and overnight lows in the mid 60’s. Keep them no-rain vibes flowin’ y’all, there workin’ a charm. Our Friday forecast is now only a 10% chance of rain (down from 50%) for live music with Bedlam Station and Halloween Saturday is lookin’ better too!
Tonight’s the night we turn the audio system over to you and you call the tunes! Be the first to call our song of the day and getchoo a free drink at the bar! It’s gonna be a good time Halloween singalong and the only thing missing is YOU!

What would a taco Tuesday be without a nice drink to go with it? A bit on the boring side I believe, so here’s another from our Halloween menu, the Gravedigger! Made by mixing up some Bacardi Rum with cranberry/grape juice and topping with a splash of Sprite this refreshing yet creepy crafty cocktail is sure to help bury as many tacos as it takes to fill ya up… 😆
Oughta be a nice sunny day today with highs in the low 80’s. Clear and cool tonight under a waning gibbous moon… 🌖 More of the same tomorrow and Thursday and it looks like them no-rain vibes are working for Friday so keep ‘em flowin’ y’all! What was a 50% chance of rain is now 30% and we need to get it down to 0% cause Bedlam Station is comin’ to play and we wanna turn it up loud!
Saturday looks like it might be soggy too but maybe we can push that rain right out into next week while we’re at it? Wet weekends are a bummer but it ain’t wet out there today so grab a taco at your favorite shop and wash ‘em down with a Gravedigger or two and have you some boozy ice cream for dessert while you’re at it… 😉 We got a few nice days ahead so let’s make the best of ‘em!

One of the things I love about downtown McKinney, ya never know exactly what it is you’re gonna get on any given day. On Saturday we got a gaggle of “Mrs. Ropers” from that funny old TV show “Three’s Company” https://youtu.be/WfuTipCqs4A?si=I8fjkKHvCXEaguFy … 😆 Who knew that crazy character was so popular still after all those years? It was a great bunch of gals havin’ themselves a grand old time and we’re real glad they stopped in to give us some big laughs and this groovy picture I could share with all y’all… 😁
What a fine weekend it was temperature wise. It sure got chemtrail cloudy yesterday but we had beautiful blue skies most of last week with sun and highs in the mid 80’s. That’s gonna continue today but that white haze will cool us off just a few degrees and cut solar cell production roughly in half…. 🫤 Talk about man-made climate change.. The rest of the week looks much the same but there’s a cool front moving in on Friday with a 50% chance of showers so let’s keep the no-rain vibes flowin’ cause it’s Halloween and Bedlam Station is scheduled to play for the last time in 2026 and it needs to be a party!
It’s a back to work Monday after a big fun weekend but school’s out for some reason I believe. Hopefully y’all had a great one but if for some reason you missed your boozy ice cream fix, today’s the day to spoil yourselves with sweet boozy treats, with no tricks please… 😉 We’ll save those for Saturday with a big bucket of candy the costumed kiddos can enjoy all day!

Your Sunday “banana split” sundae today features the wonderful flavors of strawberry and banana! A big scoop of “Strawberry Dreams Forever” and another of “Done Gone Bananas” with lots of strawberry topping, bourbon vanilla whipped cream and a cherry as always for good luck… 🍒
Sunday scripture: Acts 14:20 KJB… “Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.”
We last left our apostle Paul dragged out of Lycaonia and stoned (most likely) to death! All the other disciples are now gathered around him lying on the ground in what must have been a gruesome scene. What does Paul do? He gets right up and goes back in again! Physical death is not an obstacle here. God told him there was much to suffer while spreading the gospel of grace, but He also said He would be with Paul the entire time.
1 Corinthians 15:10 KJB… “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
That next day Paul and Barnabas continue on…
Acts 14:21 KJB… “And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,”
…preaching the gospel of grace, securing souls to heaven and strengthening the disciples as well.
Acts 14:22 KJB… “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
Much tribulation indeed. Paul gives a short summary in 2 Corinthians 11:22-28 of all he suffered. The disciples must be prepared for the same.
Acts 14:23 KJB… “And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.”
Churches are established with qualified elders teaching in all. The qualification:
2 Timothy 2:2-3 KJB… “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
Men who continue to teach what Christ taught Paul.

Better a day late than a dollar short I always say and it was a day ago 38 years ago the two of us said “we do” to one another, and 7 years ago the first picture in this series made its debut! Thirty eight years, that’s a long time by any measure y’all… 😆 Together we’ve built our little family and now our own kids are building theirs with one 7 year old granddaughter and a second that’s due to make her entry into our lives come early December. Cocktail Creamery today stands as our family business and we are grateful to this community for embracing us and the fun place we continue to try and build from day to day. Much love, from our family to each and every one of ya on this joyful occasion… 😊
The beautiful weather continues on, yes it does with lots of sun and a comfortable high in the mid 80’s today. Just a bit cooler tomorrow with overnight lows down around the upper 50’s each night. Such will continue well into next week but my weather app suggests we might see some showers next weekend. Get them no-rain vibes flowin’ early cause next weekend is a fun one for sure and we don’t need it rainin’ on Halloween especially when Bedlam Station is comin’ to play… 🎃
Right now we got this weekend to play with and play with it we surely will! Meet us there on the square if you feel like playin’ too… 😁 Had a great crowd last night and expect more of the same today as our hometown downtown is gonna be jumpin’ all weekend long! Y’all enjoy and we’ll hope to see ya for some sweet boozy treats real soon!

If good time Texas tunes sound like a great idea to you, then come on in, grab a table and don’t be late, the first set starts at 8:00… 🤠
The weather is as close to perfect as weather gets! Highs in the lower 80’s and lows in the upper 50’s all weekend long! Some increasing cloudiness and mild cooling as the days progress into the following week. Our next opportunity for rain might be over the Halloween weekend so let’s get an early start on the no-rain vibes cause we got the Bedlam Station band next Friday night!
No need to think about anything but fun this evening and fun is what we got in store for ya! Boozy ice cream, a menu full of crafty Halloween cocktails and live music from a couple of dudes that sure know how to play! If all that good stuff floats your weekend boat, we’ll see ya there on the square… cause the weekend starts here, the weekend starts now and the big fun starts when YOU get downtown… 😁

It’s another beautiful day here in McKinney, full sun and a high in the mid 80’s today. Overnight lows in the upper 50’s. Our weekend looks amazing too with more of the same especially for Friday Night Live with singer/songwriter Andrew Jones!

Join the Krew and sing some too cause tonight’s the night we turn the audio system over to you! The fun starts at 7:00 and runs right through closin’ time at 10:00, let’s kick it off by kickin’ it out, hit it Heart with the Fighters of Foo… https://youtu.be/mzeckWog7Wk?si=3CwuFQVWRCJIDSVT 😎
What gorgeous weather we’re havin’ these days! Tons of sun, bright blue skies and a high of 82 today. Clear and oh so cool tonight, the low reaching down to round about 59. A bit warmer tomorrow and Friday with no rain in sight for live music with Andrew Jones… 🤠
