Today is my baby's last first day of high school. ❤️🎓

It feels like just yesterday I was walking you into kindergarten, and somehow we've arrived at your senior year. Time has a way of moving faster than a mother's heart is ready for.

London, watching you grow into the young woman you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I am so proud of everything you've accomplished not just your academic achievements, but your character, your compassion, your resilience, and your determination to keep reaching for your dreams.

You've worked hard, served your community, overcome challenges, and continued to become the kind of person who makes others proud just by being yourself.

As you begin this final year of high school, know this: the world is waiting for exactly who you are. I cannot wait to see how you show up in it, the lives you'll impact, and the purpose you'll fulfill. Today, we received something very special in the mail, the official United States Copyright Registration Certificate for my daughter London's books! 📚✨
As many of you know, London writes under the pen name Blossom Thorns, and what began as a dream and a passion project has now become an officially protected creative work recognized by the U.S. Copyright Office.

Her books:
📖 Unapologetically Beautiful: A Journey Beyond the Mirror
📖 Unapologetically Me: A Self-Reflection & Growth Guide
are now officially registered and protected.

As a mother, it is hard to put into words how proud I am. Watching my daughter transform her experiences, thoughts, and heart into books designed to inspire confidence, self-love, and healing for other young people has been an incredible journey.

This certificate represents more than legal protection, it represents dedication, perseverance, courage, creativity, and the power of a young woman who chose to use her voice to uplift others.

At only 16 years old, Blossom Thorns is already building a legacy of leadership, advocacy, and empowerment. This milestone is proof that age does not determine impact.

This weekend at the Girlfriends Ignite Tea Party, something powerful happened.
MY BFF didn’t just show up as an author… she showed up as a voice. 💕

Watching attendees pause, read affirmations, and even add their own… that’s the impact.

That’s the mission behind Unapologetically Me and A Journey Beyond the Mirror.

No DJ. No ballroom. No fancy dress. Just… Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid. ✈️💁🏽‍♀️

For London’s Sweet Sixteen, we traded in the traditional party for a passport and a whole lotta culture! Because honestly — this child has been ready for international travel since kindergarten. 😂🌍

From croissants under the Eiffel Tower 🇫🇷 to tapas in Spain 🇪🇸, our girl is out here living her best, most culturally curious life. She’s always been the type to ask why and how — and now she gets to explore it for herself, one cobblestone street at a time.

She took iconic photos at the Eiffel Tower, cruised the Seine River like a true Parisian, wrote a sweet little message on the Pont des Arts love lock bridge, and treated herself to the most beautiful macarons decorated with her initial ‘L’ — because even in Europe, she’s going to give main character energy. 💅🏽🍬

London has always had a heart for learning and immersing herself in new cultures, so this trip was so much more her than a party ever could’ve been. Watching her take in the world with such curiosity and confidence… whew. She is truly my wildest dream with curls, big opinions, and a carry-on bag. 🥹💖

Shawn and I are beyond grateful to God for being able to give her this gift. It’s a blessing we don’t take lightly, and it fills our hearts to see her shine on foreign soil.

Happy Sweet Sixteen, London. Keep growing, keep glowing, and keep making the world your classroom. 🌍✨

What an incredible time at the annual event! It was an absolute honor to support the MEGA TALENTED TDASH ( )—his performance was nothing short of spectacular. If you missed it, it’s truly unfortunate because his STAR is undoubtedly on the rise!

TDASH hails from Houston, Texas, 🤘🏿and is revitalizing the R&B scene with his soulful voice and dynamic performances. His impressive journey includes singing the national anthem at an NBA Rockets game and performing at the H-Town Boys tribute during their induction into the R&B Hall of Fame. TDASH has also collaborated with renowned artists, featuring Paul Wall on the remix of "Love Train." His recent rendition of Randy Travis's "Deeper than the Holler" went viral on TikTok, garnering attention from artists like Avant and Anthony Hamilton.
