LOCAL CHAI?!? Yes, please! CHAI LATTE is on the menu! š«
We LOVE this small Dallas chai tea company, Chaiwali and we are so lucky we get to partner with them for this flavor! We make Chai Latte by steeping local hand blended loose leaf masala chai in our milk overnight and then mix it into our ice cream mix the next day. Itās subtle and smooth!
If youāve been looking for the best local chai, weāve found it! does it right. The tea is directly sourced from a family-owned tea estate in Assam, India. Owner and fellow SMU alum, Aliya, blends the teas in small batches weekly. The best part? The tea doesnāt have any junk in it - just wholesome ingredients like cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger root. Want a bag? We have a couple on our shelves.

Our white hat - itās more than just a neat hat. When our Scoopers wear it, it has a deeper meaning!
If you see one of our scoopers wearing a white hat, it means theyāre a veteran of our shop. Theyāve been scooping for a year - at least! It means theyāve put hundreds of hours into serving ice cream, making conversation, and helping our little ice cream shop grow.
We are incredibly proud to say that 10 out of 19 of our current team members (thatās more than half!!) have been on the team for over a year. A couple over 2 years and another over 3 years. The rest have been on the team for 6+ months with some just starting their journey.
In this industry, thatās a HUGE accomplishment. This team has so much drive to make and scoop great scratch made ice cream, give excellent customer service, and treat our small business almost as if itās their own. We are so proud and grateful for this team!

A love letter to our chocolate chip cookies:
To our chocolate chip cookie named ā5 Mile Chipā for good reasonā¦we couldnāt ask for a more perfect cookie. Made with love. Golden, crispy brown edges on the outside. The ideal amount of softness on the inside. The optimal ratio of inimitable local chocolate to heavenly dough. The quintessential touch of flake salt to create the most idyllic salty sweet dessert. A breathtaking dessert in and of itself but even more astounding when thrown in our scratch made vanilla ice cream to make our most popular flavor, Milk & Cookies.
We love you and so does the rest of Dallas.
In all seriousness, thank you all for the love on our chocolate chip cookies. They have been flying out the door and, honestly, itās been hard to keep up with baking triple the amount we have baked in the past. Weāre just glad the rest of Dallas finally caught on to finding the best chocolate chip cookie in the city š. Guess the secretās out!

CHOCOLATE COVERED WAFFLE CONE is here!š„³
How itās made: we take our scratch made waffle cone, chop it into pieces, and cover it in local bean-to-bar . Then we chop it up some more and throw it into our brown sugar ice cream. If you like something sweet with a little crunch in your lunch, this is it! Some even say it tastes a little bit like chocolate chip cookie dough.

Okay, okay. We heard ya! Itās been far too long - OATMEAL TOFFEE COOKIE is finally back!!š¤¤
This one is a favorite and for good reason! Itās a vanilla ice cream with big pieces of our house-baked oatmeal toffee cookies (basically an oatmeal cookie with pieces of homemade toffee).
Itās the perfect sweetness mixed with a little crunch-in-your-lunch. It is DARN GOOD.

4 years of our scoop shop in the books!
Weāre in shock that itās been 4 years since we opened our doors at our Lakewood shop. Weāre also in shock that we now have to specify which shop with the opening of our second location in Snider Plaza soon.
Weāll save the long sappy post this time around talking about all that weāve done this past year, but we do have to say thank you. Thank you for the immense support this past year - weāve seen a growth at our first shop that we never imagined. Thank you for believing in what weāre doing; for all the kind comments in the shop and online. Surprisingly, this isnāt an easy business to run, making ice cream completely from scratch and all, but it is a happy one. Thank you to our team who has kicked butt this year with long lines and unending days of production, all while delivering the best customer service they can give.
As we head into the 5th year of our first shop š¤Æ, we are thrilled that our little family ice cream business will very soon be able to service the Park Cities (a very very long time coming goal of ours). Itās going to be good.

The is every Saturday 8am-12pm through Labor Day! Itās an all edible market with Dallasā finest local food vendors. You can find produce (like strawberries and blueberries in the spring and peaches in the summer), grass-fed meats, organic dairy, tamales, spices, scratch made pastries and baked goods, chocolate, coffee, and more.
This market is so special to us because itās where we got our start. This is our 6th (!!!) season scooping at the market. In honor of our 6th season, we will be bringing ice cream sandwiches each weekend in addition to scooping and to-go pints.
To honor the start of the market (weāre calling a redo after last Saturdayās rain), we have a brand new ice cream sandwich on the menu - STRAWBERRIES & CREAM (Strawberries & Cream ice cream sandwiched between two of our scratch made sugar cookies). Get it tomorrow at the SMFM ONLY. Letās celebrate the start of a beautiful farmers market season!

If you missed this Rotating flavor months ago when we released it, we talked about how it is a flavor thatās been a long time coming (like 6 years, long time). YEP, this was one of the first flavors we tested back in the ole scoop cart days! Weāve nailed it this time.

When people ask us what our favorite Rotating Classic flavor is, this one is UP THERE. Salted Caramel is our caramel ice cream with the perfect pinch of pink sea salt. What makes it so special? We make our own caramel in houseā¦it takes a lot of time, but itās worth it because it makes the perfect salty sweet ice cream flavor.
