Some restaurants have history. Ours has a little more than most.
Campisi’s was recently featured in The Takeout’s “13 Restaurants Old-School Mobsters Used to Frequent Around the Country”, and yes, our Dallas history made the list.
From Papa Campisi serving some of Texas’ first pizzas in 1946 to the legendary stories surrounding The Egyptian, there’s a reason Campisi’s has been part of Dallas history for generations.

Before Campisi’s was a Dallas institution, it was a family in a kitchen.
In 1946, Carlo “Papa” Campisi gathered his family together and started making pizza after a cousin from New York suggested they serve the popular “pizza pies” he knew from back East.
That little idea became something much bigger.
Campisi’s went on to become the first pizzeria in Texas, and generations later, the family is still making pizza, serving Italian family recipes and welcoming Dallas through the doors.
That’s more than 80 years of pizza.
It’s family. It’s Dallas. It’s tradition.
And it’s why we still believe in what Papa Campisi started all those years ago: handshakes and hellos.

David Campisi stopped by to see how construction is going on our new delivery and pickup location, and it's coming together.
It will also have refrigerated grab-and-go options and a freezer stocked with frozen lasagna and pizzas to go, so you can stock up and have Campisi's ready whenever you are.

To get to the location on W. Lovers Lane in Dallas, you can take the DART rail to Inwood/Love Field Station and then transfer to Bus 453 towards Bachman Station. Get off at the W. Lovers Lane @ Inwood Rd - E - NS stop and walk east for about 5 minutes.
If driving, take the Dallas North Tollway and exit at W. Lovers Lane. Turn left onto W. Lovers Lane and continue for about 1 mile until you reach the destination on your right-hand side. There is a parking lot available on site for customers.
