Some restaurants have history. Ours has a little more than most.
Campisi’s was recently featured in The Takeout’s “13 Restaurants Old-School Mobsters Used to Frequent Around the Country”, and yes, our Dallas history made the list.
From Papa Campisi serving some of Texas’ first pizzas in 1946 to the legendary stories surrounding The Egyptian, there’s a reason Campisi’s has been part of Dallas history for generations.
Read the full story and take a trip through some of the country’s most infamous old-school restaurants. 🕵️♂️🍕

Before Campisi’s was a Dallas institution, it was a family in a kitchen.
In 1946, Carlo “Papa” Campisi gathered his family together and started making pizza after a cousin from New York suggested they serve the popular “pizza pies” he knew from back East.
That little idea became something much bigger.
Campisi’s went on to become the first pizzeria in Texas, and generations later, the family is still making pizza, serving Italian family recipes and welcoming Dallas through the doors.
That’s more than 80 years of pizza.
It’s family. It’s Dallas. It’s tradition.
And it’s why we still believe in what Papa Campisi started all those years ago: handshakes and hellos.

You don’t even have to leave the stadium for Campisi’s!
When you’re inside SMU Stadium, look for Campisi’s pizza at the west-side concession stands.
Because sometimes the best part of game day is realizing you don’t have to choose between football and pizza.

It’s game day. You’ve got the crew. Now you need the pizza.
Texas vs. OU calls for a meal that can handle a full day of football.
Make it Campisi’s. 🍕🏈
Dine in, take it to the tailgate, or order ahead before kickoff.

The rivalry is serious. The pizza should be, too.
Whether you’re wearing burnt orange, crimson, or just here for a good time, there’s one thing we can all agree on:
Game day is better with Campisi’s.
Round up the crew, grab a Campisi’s pizza and get ready for one of the biggest weekends in Texas football.
Since 1946, we’ve been serving Dallas a little something to cheer about.

Pre-game plans? We know a guy. 🍕
Catch the Campisi’s Food Truck on the east side of SMU Stadium before the game.
Grab a pizza, grab your friends, and get your game-day fuel before heading inside.
Because nobody wants to spend the fourth quarter thinking about how hungry they are.
Pizza first. Football second.
