One more post for those quick to criticize:

Please, take a moment to actually try the sandwich before jumping to conclusions. We’re doing our best to bring back a taste of the Good Old Days — and based on feedback from the vast majority of people who’ve actually eaten it, we’re getting it very close. Close is the best we can do.

Yes, we know the bread is different — it’s one inch shorter than the original, and we've been upfront about that. The original bread is no longer feasible to produce due to cost and availability. But here’s the key: the steak and other ingredients are the same amount as the original.

And really — we’re nitpicking over diced tomatoes instead of sliced? It’s still fresh tomato, and the flavor is there.

To our loyal Nemo’s fans: thank you. Your support means a lot. But please remember, we’re working with what’s available today while keeping the price at a point where people can actually afford the sandwich.

If it’s not your thing, that’s okay — we get it. But let’s keep the rude and angry comments to a minimum. They don’t help, and we’re genuinely trying to do something good here for our beloved Nemo's fans..

Here is a picture of the sandwich. Thank you to whoever posted this elsewhere. The bun is 7” instead of 8”, but the amount of steak and cheese is the same as mine always was.

I’d like to share a few thoughts about our latest effort to bring back the classic Captain Nemo’s sub.

As a professional baker, I can speak to the importance—and the challenge—of recreating the original bread. To truly match the exact flavor and texture, I would need to bake it myself. Not because no one else is capable, but because the process is so labor-intensive that most bakeries simply can’t justify the time or cost. Back in the day, I could make it myself and sell it at wholesale prices, which made it possible to deliver that unforgettable taste you all remember.

No one understands more than I do how crucial the bread is. We've done our best with the ingredients and resources available today. While it may not be 100% identical to the original, it’s remarkably close. I truly believe that one bite will bring back a flood of memories.

To those who have supported us over the years—thank you. Your kind words and loyalty mean the world. I hope you’ll give this new version of the sub a try. I’m confident it’ll feel like a homecoming for most of you.

To those who submitted orders recently, my apologies that they have not shipped yet. Between life events, the holiday, and such, I did not get them out as planned. I plan to try to get them fulfilled tomorrow or Wednesday and I'll throw a little something in there extra to make up hopefully ! Thank you for your continued support and I truly hope that you are making amazing sandwiches and finding other ways to use this versatile seasoning. Love to you all !

Hope everyone is doing great. Up here in Minnesota (this is Ronnie) it's finally warm out and we plan to get the boat out and do plenty of grilling and sitting by the campfire this weekend. I will be using a special blend of nemos seasoning and rubs for my ribs and brisket I plan to serve up to my people.
I still have some shaker bottles left so until they are gone I will include one with every order of 4 or more packs.

Well, I know we're not nearly as excited about football this week as we were last week, but I'm betting there are still some parties to be hosted and then there is the big game. Make sure you have all the Nemo's Seasoning you need to spice up your cooking game. Did I mention that it's really good on wings? I like to sprinkle a healthy coating of Nemo's on my wings and cook them without any sauce. Then dip them in my assortment of yummy sauces. It's way less mess and the seasoning pairs well with every sauce I've ever used.

Thanks to everyone ordering these last few weeks. All the stories coming in are amazing. Emails from Nemo's fans are so inspiring. I can't believe how many people are ordering to give away as gifts. Your support is a blessing and it is quite humbling. We just made a new batch so we are poised and ready to box them up and send them your way.

Has anyone received the shaker bottles yet? I found one flaw that I had to make a change over. The marker that the supplier sent is not permanent. So I've started using permanent sharpie in silver golden and bronze. Otherwise I've gotten good feedback from the local friends that have purchased. I still have some in stock so the offer still stands that anyone who orders four or more gets a free glass shaker bottle.

I hope everyone has a glorious holiday weekend. Take time to reflect on this year and everything you're thankful for and everything you look forward to next year. Love on your people and spend some quality time. Thank you for being there with us throughout all these years.
